Autograph letter signed : [London], to an unidentified recipient, 1822 July 4.

Saying, "My collection of Spanish Ballads then has become so extensive that I wish to have it published in a separate shape. I suppose I have not less than 100 Ballads all historical or romantic sufficient to give a most perfect view of that old popular body of poetry ... "; proposing publication by Hurst and Co. of his ballads in a quarto volume "to be entitled Spanish Minstrelry or something like that."
